The problem with most CCTV systems currently in operation is that they require someone to watch the cameras. The security personnel responsible for monitoring are usually assigned other tasks to perform, such as issuing parking or visitor passes in the case of a condominium. They cannot watch all the cameras all the time. Something will invariably be missed. The CCTV system is then only useful as a deterrent to crime and in most cases ineffective in apprehending unauthorized persons on the spot.

Quark addresses this problem with our VMDs. The proprietary VMDs actually watch the video security cameras and sound the alarm when something happens. Our Video Motion Detectors never tire and never blink.
