The 'QVM' video motion switchers are a programmable sequential video switchers with extensive alarming/switching capabilities based on motion detected from a composite video signal normally provided by C.C.T.V. cameras. It will work with any composite video, both B&W and color cameras as well as infrared cameras. Their small size and price range makes them ideal for retrofit applications and allow it to be very competitive compared to conventional motion detection. Quark has achieved this by using a new approach to intelligent digital video motion detection. The QVM's use a very quick internal computer to analyze video from up to 18 cameras and decides on specific action based on the programming and settings you tell the detector you want. Quark's unique hardware/software design allows for accurate motion detection with good sensitivity even when used with lower quality tube cameras. Its features include individual settings for each camera such as sequence monitor output, four alarm time presets with eight alarm types and selectable sensitivity and trigger size. Typical applications are residential and commercial parking garages, industrial plants, museums and art galleries. In installations that require a main switcher at the security desk and other remote monitors sequentially switching from the same group of cameras a QVM can replace up to three conventional switchers and the associated video splitters.
